Laurence De Rusha, is a former business executive, speaker, and author whose newest title is The Secret of Knowing: The Science of Intuition (paperback, JDP Corp., 2010, $16.95 ISBN 1451569777). He is an articulate, engaging, humorous, and entertaining expert who has been featured in print as well as online venues, and radio and television. Recent media credits include Wall Street Journal , Science of Mind magazine, CNBC, and the documentary film Breakthrough: The Movie. De Rusha’s eclectic background includes positions in financial industry, broadcasting, and technology consulting; former CEO of Dr. Joyce Brothers’ Media Group, NYC; COO of DCM Capital Management, Chicago; and Practice Director of Knowledge Management at Cap Gemini Consulting. He is a doctoral candidate at LACCRS' Institute of Higher Learning.
Known throughout the country for his colorful lectures and seminars on the interrelationship between intuition, decision making, science and everyday life—he presents practical ways to develop the skill of intuition and how to use it in decisions, innovation and creativity. DeRusha has presented to diverse audiences, including: Symantec Corp., Nike, Cap Gemini, Computer People, Northwestern Mutual Life, law firms, real estate companies and others.
He is the author of three previous books, The Roar From Within: Your Destiny Calls, Romancing the Divine (poetry), and Collected Poems.
His book Secret of Knowing: The Science of Intuition is about the science and the practice of intuition. For thousands of years humanity has used its left-brain analytical capability, its egoic mind, to "manage" the world. Today, reality is shifting. Extensive growth, environmental burdening, wastefulness, conquest and consumerism are unsustainable "left-brain" models of living which have created an unstable world. We only have to look to nature to see the destruction and damage the human ego has perpetuated in the interest of better living. Yet, most of the planet's people have still to see the light of day of this "better living" promise!We have the opportunity to completely alter the course that has been taken (by the ego mind) and shift our world.
It is time to develop your intuition and live in the flow of life. As very young children we do exactly that! We live in the moment and allow life to flow through us. This will begin the worldwide transformation. As we allow ourselves to question all of our assumptions and beliefs we can start unraveling the complexity of what we call the individual person. Intuition, however, is not dependant upon this. It comes as we pay attention to it!
De Rusha discovered his intuition, through a near death experience. His mission is to shift consciosuness through intuition and bring a positive balance to the planet. Intuition is a direct path to understanding your true nature without rational, left-brain anaytics. In the outer world De Rusha was a business executive, venture capitalist, and business advisors. Today, he is an intuitive coach, minister, and director of the Institute for Higher Learning and Institute for Higher Spiritual Learning in Tuscany, Italy and Newport Beach, CA.
