UFOs - my view
I am not sure why anyone would logically believe that the earth is the only place with life on it - in this entire seemingly infinite universe. Now some may agree saying that one cell organizisms, or the like, are possible but not beings.
So a friend of mine and I were discussing this just last week and I said, "Where did you come from? Were you a composite of atoms and chemicals that came together in the womb and you were the result? Your mind and spirit developing like a gestation, over time?" Mind, body, spirit and all are brand new when you are born?
I went on to say, if you had been on this earth from the beginning, as part of it as it formed, the you are an alien! Where do you go when you die? If you are Christian, to Heaven or Hell. So do you become an alien in those worlds because you came from here? I admit this is a syntax concept dance but...
If you practice any religion it does open the dialogue to: who are we and where did you come from and where is home. Almost all people have a feeling at one time or another that this is not home or that you have lost something you can't put your finger on, or that you feel but don't understand but it is not home.
I feel like the vast majority of UFO sitings are explainable. Who really cares if it is a might be a reflection from Mt. Palomar or Venus drifting through your rear view mirror. Does that mean all of them are? Just because some of them are.
Intution gives me the feeling that some of these sitings are real. I wonder, though, why aliens have to look like 1940's science fiction "B" movie creatures. Or why their "space ships" feel lke they are configured by the prop shop at the studio... think about it... you have the technology to travel at the speed of light across the universe, or materialize in an instant from one part of the universe to another, and yet you create a ships that looks like it was made in a World War II ship yard.
I think that it is interest the number of people who have gone through tramatic events that have seen or been abducted by aliens. Could this be angels or spirit beings?

UFO
Interesting argument. Shows out of the box thinking but not enough to really be on target. The idea that people who have been physically abused have feelings of being abducted has been a theory in some psychology circles but I haven't read much lately.
