Intuition is that directly perceiving faculty of the soul which at once knows the truth about anything. Unless you have the power of intuition, you cannot possibly know Truth. Intuition and the Future

Does intuition have anything to do with the future?

The question shows the gray area that between the subject areas of the intuition and psychic phenomenon. If intuition is simply defined as "knowing without rational reasoning or understanding," then intuition is outside the scope of time. It therefore can be about the future, present or past.

Precognition is the ability to know about an event before it happens.

Right Brain

Right-brained people generally prefer being spontaneous. Although, not exclusively right-brain, they do tend to following more right-brain functions: logical patterns, pictures, and symbols. They prefer relying on a 'hunch' than having to logically think through using a liner sequence for analysis. Right-brain dominate people are out-of-the-box thinkers, i.e. they tend to be unconventional thinkers.

Right-brained people prefer following their intuition. In some cases they follow logical patterns but prefer relying on a 'hunch'. Therefore right-brain people are out-of-the-box thinkers. They are more apt to be unconventional thinkers. On the other hand (or side of the brain) a left brained person is more comfortable following rational, logical pattern.

Holistic View
A right-brained is about connectedness, seeing the whole picture, and is non-local.

The Power of Knowing

Interviewing a  prospective employee you find all their  qualifications perfect for  the position you want to fill. But your gut  says this is the wrong  person  for the job. What should you do?

Perhaps you are about   to step onto a ladder and an image quickly  flashes in your mind. The image shows the ladder step  is unsteady  What would you do?

Psychic Phenomenon and Intuition

  Several people have asked about the difference between psychic phenomenon and intuition. The fact is, for many people, it is often difficult to tell.

     Telepathy is referred to as mind reading more than its proper name.  However, Telepathy is not limited to reading (receiving) someones thoughts but includes the transmission of thought to another person. In India  students of the Yogic path learn  various "mind" or psychic practices. They may use Mental Telepathy to produce pictures in the minds eye of others as they do in the street trick of climbing a rope that becomes a snake.
